Maybe We’ve Been Instructing God. What If We Try Submitting Instead?

This is just an honest thought I've been sitting with, Brethren.

I've noticed something in my own prayers... and maybe you've felt it too. Sometimes we talk to God like He's our equal.
"God, do this. God, fix that. God, do it now."

And I get it. We're desperate. We're tired. We want answers.

But I've started wondering... what if God isn't our equal? What if He's King, and we're His children?

I'm not saying there's only one way to pray. I'm just sharing what I'm trying now:
Instead of instructing, I'm learning to submit requests.
Like a child tugging her Father's sleeve: "Father, if it pleases You... could You make this possible?"

I used to want God to act like Father Christmas. "Give me, give me, give me." And then I'd get frustrated when it didn't come wrapped on my time.

But I'm learning He's not a vending machine. He's a Father.
And a good Father gives more than gifts. He gives wisdom. He gives timing. He gives purpose.

It shall happen if it pleases the Lord.
That's what Romans 9:15 says: "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

I'm trying something new, Brethren.
Instead of "God, make this happen," I'm saying:
"Father, if it pleases You... turn this pain into purpose.
If it pleases You... turn these tears into testimony."

Maybe you want to try it too? Not because you have to. Just to see what happens when we stop instructing... and start submitting.

James 4:15 puts it gently: "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."

So this is just my opinion on faith, Brethren.
What if we tried submitting our requests instead of instructing God?

What would you ask Him... if it pleases Him?
